Natural Stacking Blocks

At Bubs & Mums, we’ve selected these solid wood blocks as part of our curated range of open-ended wooden toys for Australian children aged 2+. Building blocks are one of the most researched and recommended toys in early childhood development — and this set is chosen specifically for its quality construction, safe finishes and versatility for creative, unstructured play at home and in childcare settings. Ships from our Melbourne warehouse in Victoria.

This natural stacking block set consists of 5 pieces, each consisting of a different size which encourages children to stack them one on top of the other using their cognitive skills. This set is a versatile construction and stacking addition to any play space. Stacking stimulates reasoning which is essential for problem solving. It also offers endless open-ended opportunities for children to explore their imagination. Imaginative play is when children enact an event or experience in their life that they have come across or found interesting.

It allows them to create stories and explore new ideas as they connect with the world around them. Similarly open-ended play is also a kind of play that encourages children to freely express their creative thoughts and ideas. They express themselves using their words which promotes language development.

During their pretend play experiences, children come across challenges which they learn to overcome thus developing their problem-solving skills. Another important benefit of pretend play is, it helps develop your toddlers’ emotional needs as they learn to express and understand their feelings. Thus, this natural block set provides children with endless opportunities through which they can develop their emotional, imaginative, language and creative skills.
